Welcome to sids.ventures.

For over a decade, Sid Hewison has shared the awe-inspiring natural and cultural wonders of our world, both in person and through engaging video content. His adventures have connected millions with captivating stories of natural science, history, and exploration, sparking a deeper appreciation for the planet.

Today, Sid proudly runs his own solo tour company, offering immersive experiences that bring these stories to life. Beyond the tours, his videos continue to captivate a global audience, building meaningful connections and inspiring new ways to see the world.

Together, Sid and his community aren’t just exploring places—they're part of a movement transforming how people engage with the planet, each other and themselves. Welcome to a journey that goes beyond adventure, connecting everyone to something truly inspiring, the world itself.

What’s Been Happening Behind the Scenes (From Sid)

I haven’t posted much lately. No new tours. No regular content. And for those who’ve followed my work, it might’ve looked like I disappeared. But here’s the truth. The last couple of years have brought a lot of tests. Some personal, some practical. Enough to force a pause. I had to step back, look at what I was building, and reconnect with why I started in the first place.

I’ve never been interested in chasing trends or making noise just to stay visible. I’d rather go quiet than go off track. But I’ve kept the thread. And now, things are finally moving again.

Right now, I’m filming my first proper long-form YouTube episode in the West MacDonnell Ranges. It’s the kind of deeper storytelling I’ve wanted to do for years. In November, I’ll be filming in Switzerland and Italy on a new documentary project that blends travel, culture, history, and natural science... with the occasional mix of the usual lowbrow and highbrow humour.

I’ve also started producing sids.campfire, a podcast recorded around real fires, with real people, having real conversations. Revolving around natural science and culture, but embedded in truth, experience and unscripted authenticity.

Tours will return. New content is coming. This next chapter is clearer, more focused, and built to last.

Word of Mouth

"This tour by far exceeded my expectations, in large part thanks to Sid and his knowledge of so many things - Australia, geology, Aboriginal culture, bush camping and life in general!

I very much appreciated the well timed, themed songs, especially the Australian tunes.

I'm so glad I got to experience this adventure on this tour with these people, and will remember it as one of my lifetime highlights. Thanks for everything!"
